Finally I found a solution! :) for the million dollar question:
How to silence the buckle up alarm of your toyota?
I found this in a car related forum (don't remember the name) and it worked, I know as a proud owner of a corolla that the buckle up alarm beep is ultra annoying so here I found a solution( this applies for prius and matrix too:
"Get in the car and turn the key to on (don't start the car,) then change the odometer to display "odo" and not trip A or B.
Turn the key off.
Turn the key back to on. Within six seconds of doing this, press and hold the odometer button. Do so for 10 seconds. Then, while still holding the button, buckle up, then unbuckle. The "odo" display should then change to say "b-on." Push the odo button to get it to read "b-off." Then wait for the display to change back to the odometer. That's it, you're done.
The car will still beep right when you turn it on if you don't have a seatbelt, but it won't beep if you or your passenger unbuckles for a moment."

You may have wanted to post this in the Automotive Forum...
The managment doesn't really appreciate it when you dump stuff like this in Off Topic. Maybe they'll be nice and move it for ya...

so why not choose to live and buckle up instead of hearing the alarm?

I have to admit, "safety features" like that are really annoying. Yes, I buckle up every time, but I don't need an audio reminder that my seat belt isn't fastened every time the car starts.
Sorry for helping with the thread hijacking Augi. Good post.

thats just too much work.
all you need to do is lift up your ass so your weight doesnt trigger the seat.
it works.

put in another vote for just putting your seatbelt on.

If you re-read my post you will find the answer to your question, just read slowly
"The car will still beep right when you turn it on if you don't have a seatbelt, but it won't beep if you or your passenger unbuckles for a moment."
And by the way nobody is choosing to die.(period)

Yeah, with unlimited lives, you really don't need a seatbelt at all.

so it's just "for a moment". live with a few seconds of beeping til they get off or buckle up. quit complaining.

Who is complaining? I'm just giving a tip but if you do not have anything constructive to say in the post I totally underestand... don't worry,
it's ok! :)

Yeah that beep is really damn annoying. I've been driving a Pontiac Vibe rental car for the past 2 weeks, (basically the same car as the Toyota Matrix), and it drives me nuts. Thanks for the tip Augix!

Im sure the car is smart enough to assume someone is in the drivers seat when it gets started.

So um....why might the passenger take off his or her seatbelt for a moment after the car is started and presumably running?

To open the door and get out for countless reasons... getting the kids, grabbing the newspaper, etc.
Since reading this thread, I've paid attention to my own driving habits. 90+ percent of the time, I start the engine first - then fasten my belt. I've done that for years and years, letting oil pressure not only build up, but flow through the engine for a moment before I drive away. MIght as well start the engine first... then buckle-up and drive off. I'd be irritataed if some loud alarm went off when I have no intention on driving without being bucked up.
