Audigy ZS 2 or the new X-Fi

thinking of upgrading from my on-board stereo soundcard to one of creative labs cards.. (i recenlty got a nice set of logitech 5.1 speakers)

any opinions on what I should get??

I liked the EAX, and other effects on creative labs cards back when i tested them at other ppl's computers..

are there any other cards besides audigy + x-fi lines that support eax?
I'm pretty much a noob in this area so please help me out

I have a the Audigy 2ZS (and had the Audigy before that). It's perfect. I have had no problems with it in any games or apps. I also bought it from Frys for about $30 and sold the included games for more than $30 on half.com. You should be able to get a similar deal if you wait for the right time.

As far as the X-fi...why bother? It's more money, for features you probably won't use anyway.

I got the Audigy 2 ZS platinum for $100.. I am really happy with it!
Xifi Is really expensive..
