Pick a favorite beverage, then find out how much of it would be necessary to end your life. Fascinating!

Try it (http://www.energyfiend.com/death-by-caffeine/)

The only one of those I drink even occasionally was coffee...and apparently it would take 75 cups of it to kill me. Having had large DD cups in a day one time, I think the number would be much lower.

I imagine other effects of the soda would kill you before 622 cans... Like the fact that you can't stop going to the bathroom for hours, after 100 cans?

712 cans of Coke Classic...
440 of Mountain Dew...
and 173 cans of Monster. Wow.

On a side note to this, before I was in law enforcement, I did computer work. I was on a project for P&G at their various plants in the US, and down in Texas at the plant north of Dallas, they decaffinated coffee there. In these rooms were cubes of pure caffine the size of volkswagons. They sold them to the cola companies. You had to be hazmat suited to work in the rooms...

That's pretty awesome. What does solid caffeine even look like? Also, why doesn't this site list "caffeine cube from Proctor & Gamble" as one of the caffeine sources, so I could find out how many bites would kill me? :)

I imagine just looking at it too long will put you in a coma

In high school I had access to the chem lab and found a large jar of white powder labeled caffeine. Some of my friends wanted me to snag some so they could "experiment" with it. Not wanting to watch their hearts explode, I denied their request.

My friends dad was killed by coffee. He was a tightly-wound type A personality and would drink four pots of coffee a day. He died of a heart attack at 41.

Maybe so... but at least I wouldn't die of caffeine poisoning. :D

436 cans of Barqs Rootbeer. I'm sure could kill the rest of you with just one can of anything but the whole brain bashing with a soda can makes my arms tired.

I don't even drink coffee, tea, or sodas. Two red bulls would probably put me over. It is like heroin- it takes a certain amount to kill you, but the more you use, the more it takes to get the same effect. Also addicting.

Addictions can be so sad. I wish more people would think about the long term consequences of the things that hurt them a little bit every day.

Here's a little parenting technique: teach children about long term rewards and consequences. Do you want one piece of candy now, or two after dinner?

Nah, when it comes to bra sizes, DD's definitely aren't gonna kill me. ;)

It would take 113.75 cans of Jolt Cola to put you down
After 102.38 cans of Red Bull, you'd be pushing up daisies
It would take 74.45 cans of Beaver Buzz to put you down
You could drink 58.09 cans of Full Throttle before croaking
You could drink 58.50 cans of Monster before croaking
54.60 cans of Rockstar + You = Death

My beverage of choice is Diet Dr. Pepper. It would take 399.51 cans to kill me. Le's just call it 400, no one is gonna count the partil can as 1/2.

If I want to last a bit longer I can use Diet Pepsi and go 455 cans before croaking.

I seem to remember a great scientist discovering this concept of "caffine kills" before...

linky (http://homestarrunner.com/sbemail91.html)

"At that point...the test subject was dead."
"I was not!"

But don't get on a coffee-bashing bandwagon. Recent studies have shown that coffee (regular or decaf.) is about the best source of antioxidants that we know of.

All I know is that when I start feeling crappy, it either means I've had too much coffee, or not enough. I'm never sure which. It is such a delicate balance...

Strange thing even if you were to survive 300 -700 cans of soda, the ensuing acid would completely dissolve your kidneys.

2388.75 glasses of Chocolate Milk + You = Death
Thats 298 GALLONS of Chocolate Milk.

The fat from it will kill you long before the caffeine.

Is this all if you drink it all in an hour?

in an hour!?!?!?!?

wasn't there something about how there's no way for anyone to drink a whole gallon of milk in one sitting or something?

I chose Sprite and I got:

There's no caffeine in Sprite, so that won't kill you. You can go for death by sugar intake, though.

I also tried Dr. Pepper and espresso b/c those are the only things that drink occasionaly that are on that list:

It would take 266.34 cans of Dr Pepper to put you down
After 109.20 shots of Espresso, you'd be pushing up daisies

Water can kill a person, if too much is drank.

I believe it takes 6 hours for the caffeene to leave your system, so you have 6 hours to drink that much.
