How about chicken and rice with a lemon glaze? Add some side veggies and a salad and you are golden.

It's easy to make,
put the rice in a casarole dish, pour in water.
Put chicken on top of rice (whole or pieces).
bake
glaze periodicaly
remove from oven and eat.

We are having an OCiesta party tonight. We love watching The OC. We are having friends over and having: Taquitos, Mexican Pizzas, Enchiladas, Nachos, and Margaritas.

:heh: Neat idea! Have fun tonight! I wish I had some friends in the area that I could get together & watch stuff with! My problem is that with Josh awake, most shows I have to record & watch later. heh

can you bake chicken when it's frozen, or does it have to be thawed first?

Ummm....I would thaw it. I've never attempted to cook anything that's still frozen.

As for me, I'm going with some turkey breast, broccoli, and mashed potatoes.

Macaroni and cheese and hot dogs. Yes...that is with the hot dogs cut up and mixed into the noodles.

How sophisticated.

Haha thats a nice partner...

It definitely pays to have female friends who appreciate the plight of a single man. :)

I usually trade my services. I'll buy the food or do dishes, or make repairs if they cook. So it works for me to contract out. hehe

You need to thaw it. :(

But if you need to do it quickly you can thaw it by filling the sink with cold water and putting the chicken in it, if it is in sealed plastic, like a ziplock. If you are thawing a lot of chicken or want it to go a bit faster, drain the water as it cools and put more water in, to keep the water nearer to room temp.
I don't know if you should use warm water, there might be a problem with bacteria.

Absolutely. For payback, my job is bug disposal, car and house "thingies or stuff". LOL To quote her "You have nothing on the walls but food...."
