This deal involves pricematching at Staples.com, and uses the 25$ off 75$ dollar coupon: 90810.

Call up Staples.com 1-800-3STAPLE and Choose from the options, I picked Purchase Items...

Talk to the CSR(Customer Service Rep) about pricematching their 99.95 price with Buy.com's 77.95 dollar price. After being put on hold he will come back and say that he has to add the shipping cost of 5.80 pushing the price before coupon to 83.95 dollars. Then after all of this tell him that you have the coupon. Which he will ask for the number(above). Give it to him and he will grant you the final price of 58.95. Also, you should get free next day shipping for the price of buy.com's regular shipping(which is mighty fast anyways, but a bonus is a bonus.) I hoped this helped anyone look for a new soundcard.

Not bad price. But unless if you really want the software that comes with the x-gamer. You can save more by getting the value.

There is something else to consider. The X-Gamer and MP3+ versions of the Sound Blaster Live feature a digital audio out port that the Value Edition doesn't have.

If that's important to you, then this is a great deal!

The MP3 and Gamer also come with a mic. You might be able to do the same thing with amazon's price on the MP3, it's $78.

Acutally the newer value cards have the digital audio out too. They are exactly the same now. CL got smart and saves money now by distributing all the same hardware in different flashy packages.

The software in the X-gamer is ok, but the MP3 software IMO is alot better.. my friend has the MP3 software though. So we'll probably just share.
