File a formal complaint with the AMA. This guy shouldn't be harassing you.

:stupid:

the PT is licensed by the state, and his totally inexcuseable behavior should be reported his board.

Whoever signs the PT's paycheck should be informed as well. If others have complained, then that PT should lose his job!

I have never been hepled by physical therapy. To me, it's the biggest most expensive waste of time that the medical profession has ever invented.

But I am sure there are a very few people who have benefitted from it.

Sheesh.....now that is what I call a bad summer...hell, I would call that a bad year.

I would definitely make sure to report the guy not only to the PT licensing board but also to the owner of the clinic. I know that my PT is owned by my orthopod, so saying something to him was all I needed to do...IF I ever had a problem, fortunately I never did have one though.

It sounds like you have a good relationship with your current doctor, so thats always really helpful. If you want, you may want to find out if the previous doctors ineptitude is sufficient to be considered malpractice. You obviously have undergone a lot more suffering that you would have had they caught the fact that the one bone was out of place before setting it. You might be able to take him to court to help disburse some of your costs and if you had any other losses (inability to work) that resulted from it.

On another note: I had a doctor completely miss a clean break when they were setting 2 other clean breaks in my ankle. (I broke my tibia and fibia...but apparently also broke it at my knee as well!) Fortunately, mine set right and the other break was only noticed 6 years later when I destroyed my knee.

I have also had the spinal injections several times, probably a bit different than what you had, but frankly it didnt do me any good and wiped me out for a weekend each time.

Either way, I really hope you feel better. You definitely have my sympathy....living in pain all of the time really sucks worse than people realize. I'm in a perpetual haze as a result of my treatment and I am sure if you are taking similar drugs you are too.
