to make a long story short:
i need to motivate a student to start reading. after extensive probing, it seems that his interests lie with automobiles, esp since his family is about to buy one. so i need to get a magazine that will help us do a little bit of side-by-side comparision of the possible cars that he can buy.
what are the best magazine(s) for this?
or if there's something else out there that's automotive related, please let me know asap. i need this by tonite so i can pick it up for tomorrow.

C&D is pretty good but pple say that it's bias toward imports especially Honda. :P

Heh... I've been partial to "Lowrider Magazine".... but honestly I don't always just look at the cars. :naughty: :D

Car and Driver all the way.

I guess a magazine would be a good place to start with you'll get something that resembles a book in his hands for now. However, with all its fabulous photos I doubt whether it will get him into reading over time. I would suggest slowly mixing it up with books that are interesting and related to cars. I can't recommend any, but take a quick browse at your local bookstore.

Car & Driver is the best, IMHO. Easy to read, GOOD information, and not biased at all that I have noticed.
Autoweek is 2nd best, but more appropriate to serious car people or those in the industry, not casual readers.

C&D always does comparisons with clear cut rankings... i like that a lot over motor trend's comparison tests that never tell you anything clear cut.
C&D also always seems to include a good practical car comparison in each issue.
also, with web, check out detnews.com they have a good auto section.
