Treats? Put some in the middle of the room and wait maybe... Also try some jingly things..they seem to be attracted by strange sounds and want to investigate.
On searching, check under every bed and behind every dresser. Hopefully you don't have any open ventalation covers... :eek2:
BTW...why is this in political? :hihi:

Believe it or not...I just adopted a kitten in the same sort of manner. This one was dumped on the base, and he was very malnourished. He hid for awhile, but he always comes out when he gets hungry.
Just give the little guy or gal time. I am sure the kitten will come out when it gets hungry.....at least, I hope it will! Please keep me updated.
Oh, I called the vet about my kitten on the day that I brought him home. The vet said to give him no milk. I was told to only give him water. Until he gains some weight, milk will only make him sick. It has been working, and my kitten is really looking better.

Awww! And yeah, give him some time. The treats & a toy (not a loud one cause it might scare him) in the middle of the room would be best. :)

Leave the treats out, that should draw the kitten out from hiding.
They also make kitten formula, which replaces their mother's milk. We bottle fed a whole litter on that for weeks. I believe it was called KMR for kitten milk replacement.

Paper bag? Open it up and leave it on the floor near you. If you have the TV on, she will come to the "conversation" and play with the bag.
I know when Lucy was tiny that is what brought her out of hiding.
That and string (or computer cables...) We could drag that around calling her and she would run and attack the string.

Just a word of warning Obby - this is how they infiltrate your home under the guise of being tiny and helpless. Your dogs were trying to protect you from the evil lurking on your fence. Obby you need to save yourself before it's too late!
Oh and to get the kitten out of hiding, probably the paper bag trick or string around where it's hiding might do it. Even better though is to get a dachshund puppy to go along with this new kitten. You can get hours of entertainment watching them play.

Put an ad in the paper. A lot of newspapers will put an ad in free if you find a stray kitten and want to give it away. If you make sure it has up-to-date shots (will require spending some $$ if you can), treat it for fleas & worms (which sounds like you've done some at least), then you have a good chance of someone wanting it. :)
