I noticed while looking for a new computer that Dell now shows SDRAM in all their systems. Is this a change? I think my other 2 Dells have DRAM not SDRAM. Is SDRAM a step down or better?

? Did the server hiccup and post a post from 2001?

SRAM < SDRAM < DDR SDRAM < DDR2 SDRAM

Ok, so is DDR2 SDRAM better than DDR2 DRAM? Or am I mixing everything up?

dram??? where have you been?

non synchronous ram was back in the day of like 486's.... when they were EDO 66 pin rams.
edo hung around after sd ram was introduced (around 97), but they were totally gone by the new millenium.

I think he means RDRAM, which dated back to Dimension 8100.

I think it comes down to I don't know what the heck I'm talking about. :) Thanks for the information, now I only wish I had bought my Dell over the summer when the deals were still flying.
