Thunder and lightning crashed so hard over my apartment that it knocked out the power and set off a few car alarms. I screamed bloody murder, hurdled the baby gate, and ran outside leaving Allicyn behind, all the while thinking "I can make more of you!"

Yep, such a good mom!

So, how much emotional scarring does this leave on your child? Abandoned in a moment of terror?

I'm not an abusive person, but if you were my wife, I would have smacked you and said, "what the hell is wrong with you?"

You know just because of this seemingly innocent little act, you have started your daughter down the road to years of therapy sessions to get over how her mother abandoned her in the apartment screaming bloddy murder. Because of this she'll develop a serious self-image problem and will likely become mildly bulemic. She'll look hot though since she'll be so thin and will be attracted to a career in the adult film industry to get over these feelings of abandonment and self-doubt. She might even become the Chasey Lain or even the Jenna Jameson of her generation.

All of this because you ran out the front door screaming because of a thunderstorm. There, feel better now? :D

you know what's even sadder? Out of the other 15 apts here, I wasn't the only one who left the kids behind. Now what does that say about my community? :heh: :disa:

Man, how loud was the thunder that you and your neighbors booked it out of their homes leaving their kids behind?

LOL nope, not a trailer park! The thunder was loud. Extremely loud. Right when it crashed, I heard my landlady scream, which caused me to scream, thinking that everything had literally blown up in the apartment. Then when I got outside, I saw that EVERYONE here who was home had ran out too.

The thunder and lightning is still going on, and my son was so cute. About 6 years ago, I used to live in Albuquerque, where it would thunder and lightning every night during summer. My son remembered from then not to touch the railing of our apartments during the lightning storms.

Interesting why I would do that, huh? I don't know, I think the thunder just scared me so much that I just ran where ever I could. I knew someone else here would be outside that I could confer with also.

I didn't think the building was destroyed, I just thought that the microwave and all other electrical whatevers had blown up.

I would think it would be safer inside than running around outside where everything is slippery in the rain...

The rain hadn't come yet when the thunder hit, and ya'll need to keep in mind that this was all split second thinking. I heard the horrifying boom, and before it had even stopped, I was already standing outside.
