I bought this for a door prize for a football party I'm going to this Monday. It arrived today. It's pretty cool, so I'd share.

It claims to be regulation size and wieght, although the threads are a little smaller than regulation.
(I can't see anyway to recharge the battery, as there are no instructions to that effect.) So, I guess once the battery is gone, it's just a red-opaque rubber football.
