Hurry up on this deal. Evey ticket you bid on priceline will take off fiddy dollas. Check it out here (http://www.priceline.com/travel/airlines/itinerary.asp?FREE=deals2)
actually what it is is that they apply an additional 50 dollars to what you bid to see if you get it. its not 50 dollars off what you bid if you get it so be advised to lower your bid 50 and not keep a par bid and expect to get 50 dollars back...
but good deal if you use it right :)

I clicked the PL link on 8/9(at around 11Am). I saw no mention of the discount/deal. I figured they would just add it. I bid like $70 for a trip to SF(which added up to $107 after all their fees). they wanted me to add an extra $25(said no carrier would take my offer). SO I just said forget it(will stick to cheap tickets).
can anyone espeically (FREENET) help me on how to use Priceline to bid and win tickets at such cheap price? I have never use priceline before. I also live down SoCal and would like to go home sometimes to SF but no money to pay for tickets cuz I am a broke college student!..HELP! please~! thanx guys!!

I am guessing the deal is dead(ended 8/9...or before that since they wouldn't give me the discount). I am such an idiot, the date is 9/9...not 8/9. Spigidy, you posted a deal that was long dead.

actually, the deal was from 9/6 through 9/8..so it was just last week...it is defintiely over now but they have these promos every so often....
to reply to ETLA's question, it seems that a $71 total bid frequently gets tix anywhere within CA...the trick is to use the bonus money! If there are no current "free bonus money links" such as this promo, When you make an offer, make it ridiculously low and priceline will show you things to sign up for to get bonus money (ex: apply for discover card, etc) the LOWER your offer is, the more bonus money they give!!
There has been cases where people bid $1 and added $70 from the discover bonus and got the ticket! (after adding taxes and fees it came to about $22) It was strange that my $21 bid came out to "only" $34..usually priceline inflates the so-called taxes and fees to about $22 on every flight...
to reply to asian-panda,,,with ANY priceline services, there ARE NO REFUNDS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES whatsoever!!! if your bid is accepted, your credit card is charged immediately and thats that....you cant even use your ticket for future travel if you dont use it!! So be careful...
