I'm taking a vacation out there next week. I was thinking of renting a Harley for a day. Anyone know any great scenic roads to tour out there?

Or does anyone wanna be a guide? I'll buy dinner.........

I wish I knew the area. Hell, I wish I had the time/money to meet you there either on my bike or renting one there - sounds like a blast...

You're in God's country out there. There is a road called 281. Take it out to a town called Fredricksburg (via 105/205 in Blanco). Stop in that town at the Fredricksburg Brewery and shop a bit on the square if you like. Check out the cool, old cemetary when you come in town (say hi to some of my relatives) and admire some of the rare original marble scuptures that have survived since pre-civil war times. On the way back take 290 West till you get to Dripping Springs. Take 12 South to Wimberly where you'll meander through the hills and the last hurrah of Texas scrub oak and maybe an Indian summer wild flower patch or two. Wimberly the gateway to the hill country and following Purgatory Road (always loved that name) through the hills back to I-35 before dark will get you to I-35 and back to the mean streets of civilization. I can shorten this considerably of course. Just let me know. When you wanna go. To that home out on the range....They got a lot nice girls out there.. a how how how how. .... :)
