compusa extended warranty?

I was thinking about getting the exslim on the deals page for myself from compusa, they offer a 2 + 3 year extended warranty... anyone have any experience with their warranty? i was leaning toward the 3 years for 49.99...

I wouldn't even bother with it. It will probably be obsolete before the warranty period is up. :D

i know from a friend there warranty . is a one time replacement warranty.after one replacement if its found defective . here the biggie affter they check it out . you get one replacement.after that your on your own .and if the replacement unit fails your SOL .and dont most companys give you a 1 year warrienty anyway with the unit ? (and that one is free )

I worked as a Buisness Machines Rep at Staples... It is $35 to $200 and $49 for cameras above $200... The warranty coveres one time drop to the camera and most of the time, the LCD screen gets busted. If its small and thin and you know you will be handling it rough, Then it may be worth it.
Check whether it covers accidental damages and ask whether you can bring the camera to the local stores if something happens to it. At staples, The managers tells me that if I get the warranty, the customers can come to the store and they will either swap it or give a cash card for the price of the product. Sometimes when I am not there, they DONT honor it... Fvckin A'oles.. Ask them SAY your camera need replacement and most the time, camera you bought may not be available, ask whether they will give something that is comparable or the full money back or a camera for that price. Also ask them if it needs service how long does it take to get it fixed and whether they will repair it or replace it ASAP...
How much is the camera?? see what it covers and how they handle claims and then decide..
