Yoy know the guy inside the vending machine? I really feel sorry for him. He must have those steenking Cheetos everywhere; even inside his underwear! Must really itch!

And yet... the coupons all SAY they expire on 10/31/00, so who knows... maybe they're still good.

Jiffy Lube has a large number of discount plans (many of which have higher dollar values than the coupons). If the Jiffy Lube staff let you, you can leaf thru their 3-ring binder of discount offers (one local place let me look thru their book). They have permanent discount plans negotiated with many corporate employee groups and even with Amway. For example, in the Seattle area, Microsoft, Boeing, Eddy Bauer, Alaska Air, and other corporate employees that are members of their corporate discount plans have lower rates than offered by the coupons.
Basic service (lube, oil, filter) is $16.95 which is almost the same as signature service and possibly safer for your car. The signature service sometimes can add the WRONG liquids to the car (I stopped a poorly-trained (or uncaring) employee from putting in the WRONG type of fluid). Nowadays, I just request basic service but still watch my car to be sure no accidents happen.

And Accidents do happen-- particularly when busy. I worked at Jiffy lube once upon a time (GOD-- that was a LONG time ago) and remember on one occasion leaving the rear differential plug out on a Caddy. umm.... well, it did cause an accident about 80 miles down the road.
Now I haven't been to a Jiffy Lube in a long time but back in the day the 'signature service' was just a marketing jerk around. They called our basic oil change with the 34 point 'safety check' a 'signature' of Jiffy Lube's service. In other words, everything at Jiffy Lube was a 'signature service'. Now, that may have changed so don't be getting all pissy about this.
