The company running the promotion for McD (rather, people working for that company) were stealing all of the big prizes & sharing them with their friends. None of the big ones made it to actual McD customers. It was a public relations nightmare for them. They attempted to make up for it by going to random McD resturants & awarding $1m prizes to customers right on the spot, if I remember correctly. Last night at around 10:45 PM I got a hamburger and I see two employees scratching the little cards (lots of them). One exclaimed:" I think I've got a winner".

I guess if I worked at McDonalds, I would do the same thing. But I was wondering if this is going on nationwide?

I don't think they'll ever recover or have as many sales as before. I personally think that the employees will try to find winners (they don't scratch to see the prizes, it's a peel and win btw) which is still random, however I think the stigma that it's still rigged has died down.

Mike D is so right! I saw it and I have NEVER EVER eaten fast food again. Best documentary I have seen about food ever. Let's test the skillz...
