Could someone please help me understand why my pictures look like crap. I guess I thought I was smarter than the average bear but I can't seem to figure out why when I blow up my picture to 100% in Microsoft Photo Editor it looks so fricken grainy and crappy...I think I have tried most of the settings but if someone could help me out that would be amesome...

well, there's many reasons that could cause this, but for starters you can try this:
1) never ever EVER, under any circumstances, use digital zoom
2) remember to focus your subject by pressing the shutter release half-down
3) try and hold the camera as still as possible while taking the picture
*4) also check the ISO level you're taking the picture at. The higher the ISO, the grainier your pictures will tend to be.
*5) Try taking some pictures on the "fine" quality on the highest resolution. This should help the graininess too, plus, if you ever get that great picture you'll have it in the best quality you can.
I'm not very familiar with the Fuji camera, its options, and its quality. It could be possible that they just don't have very good sensors.

I had a fuji finepix..just to get the hang of digital pictures..I don't have to worry about it anymore because the zoom switch broke, the shutter stuck and the chip cover won't release..it will cost me more to get the thing fixed than to buy a new camera..

Take a picture with a $2000 camera and the output won't look too pleasant when looking at it at 100% on the screen. The pictures just weren't meant to be enjoyed that way. Have you ever tried ordering 4x6 prints? You'll be surprised how beautiful they'll look.
