Wilma is now in the Gulf and will probably affect my buddy in Port Charlotte and my sister in Spring Hill by Sunday.

I don't recall any hurricanes since Rita???

Names are given to tropical storms, not all of which develop into hurricanes.

Stan hit Central America, Tammy stayed a tropical storm and hit Florida, and Hurricane Vince actually hit Spain.

Mostly they were "tropical storms" not reaching hurricane status...
