I've waited all year..it's cold enough, and it's dark enough..and I have to get my sewing machine going on the Americana Santas that I sell...I've got the Christmas music playing and I'm ready to go..might I add that the house right now smells like double chocolate hazelnut brownies and strong coffee..so let's get this season going already..I need to put my decorations up ..(*typed in a hurried anxious voice no less*)...I'm off to do some stitching..Let the festivities ensue!

I PROCLAIM THIS HOLIDAY SEASON OFFICIALLY OPEN...GO FORTH AND SHOP....

I LOVE christmas, it's my favorite holiday, and I can't wait to start decorating. But, for the sake of my husband's sanity (and everyone else around me), I wait until Thanksgiving before starting the fun. Besides, celebrating 2.5 months of Christmas makes it lose some of it's special-ness.

No way! I am boycotting Hallmark for putting up Christmas ornaments for sale in AUGUST!
What is with this need to live 2 months in advance?
I think I'm going to go one step further and light some fireworks...July 4th is right around the corner, you know?

To keep Christmas special I don't celebrate it until December.

Shopping is another matter. It's ok to get gofts as far in advance as January as far as I am concerned.

Ok, now it's time to start celebrating the Christmas season.

It's December. All is good. Make with the Christmas music, mulled wine and missiletoe.
