Friday 2 of my corn snakes got out of the terrarium. when I figured out they were gone I tore apart the whole room, looked under the bed tore apart the dresser, and basically turned the room upside down looking for the little guys, after a couple hours of looking I finally gave up, sat down at my computer desk and started to bitch about the situation on Mirc. I’ve got one of those clear side panels on my computer, all of a sudden I see one of the little guys (Ruby) Cruzin around inside my box, I’m pretty sure she saw me at the same time cause he was looking right at me, lol took a while to get the little guy out of there, But she is ok. But I’m still missing my favorite snake "Pip" I hope I find him soon before he decides its too cold and hibernates.

On a whim I almost put up posters around my neighborhood with a picture of a guy holding a big snake and the following text: 'LOST - 6' Burmese Python - Answers to 'Fluffy' - Reward if found!".
I was all set to get started and see if it would make the 6 o'clock news, or even the local paper, when Mrs. Kevster stopped me. She did a very good job of diverting my attention too, but I won't go into that. :P

Still haven’t found him, I set a trap for him using a heating pad and his favorite hiding spot, in a room that we don’t usually use. He is a little bigger than the pic, but he is still small enough to get into just about anything, it is probably hiding in my printer. We came home the other night and our cats were totally spooked, so I’m pretty sure they have already had a run into it. Even though our cats are pretty harmless they prolly scared the little guy pretty good.

I guess the real question is what has he been feeding on this entire time?
Glad that your snake made it and you found him.

Three months on the lam - that snake must hate being back in captivity.

Good job.
My son used to live in an apartment on the second floor of our office building. He lost his corn snake three times. The first time, it showed up in my office a month later (the building has three businesses and over 100 employees - what are the odds it would end up in my office?)
The second time it was found only a week later in one of the women's bathrooms. That was actually kind of funny.
The third time? Well, it's been 5 months and we're still waiting...

he never made it downstairs and since both cats are accounted for, I imagine he was pretty hungry( he seemed pretty happy with the frozen mousy he got after i nabbed him) they can go for months without eating, he may have been hybernating, I dont really use the bathroom i found him in, and he turned up a couple hours after i vacumed in there. his buddy rosy sure was happy to have company agian, they were coiled up together shortly after i put him back in the cage and doing that snake dance thing.

They aren't friends. The hampster is just happy the snake hasn't eaten him and the snake likes the idea of a reserve of food, if his owner forgets to feed him.
