apologies for the bad title...

I had my car lowered some time ago. One of the mechanics said there was something I could add (to each wheel or axel or somewhere in there), so that for wheel alignments, I can have it set to the factory specs.

What's the name of that thing?

If it is lowered, you won't necessarily be setting it to factory specs. Factory specs assume stock ride height and suspension travel.
