It's not like I haven't been warning you people, but cats are evil. They are foul, evil little creatures hell-bent on world domination and the subjugation of humanity for their sick feline plans. Here's some more proof:

Cat parasite linked to schizophrenia?

WASHINGTON, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- A Washington psychiatrist believes there is a link between exposure to cats in childhood and schizophrenia.

Dr. Fuller Torrey says that he has noticed that schizophrenics were more likely to have had cats when they were very young or mothers who had cats while pregnant.

Torrey told the New York Daily News that his wife thinks he is going to be killed by cat lovers. But he still believes that there is a link between early exposure to Toxoplasma gondii, a parasite found in cats, and schizophrenia.

"Not only cats, but virtually all animals carry transmissible agents, and some carry transmissible agents that have had profound implications for the human race," Torrey said.

He is now testing an antibiotic used to treat Toxoplasma gondii on schizophrenics.

Oh, and this isn't junk science either - the wikipedia entry on this guy shows he's a well respected doctor in the field: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E._Fuller_Torrey

Cats are the most foul and evil creatures all the more reason for me to never own a cat. It took owning two for less than a year to realize they were totally evil. Now I will never allow another cat in my home. But then again I like dogs but will never ever own one. I will stick to animals in a cage. and when I get the itch to get a dog I borrow one and remember why I don't have one.

I take product surveys for a company and there was a short one today:

*) Have you been diagnosed with bi-polar disorder in the last 12 months?
*) Have you ever been diagnosed with bi-polar disorder?
*) Do you have any kittens?
*) Do you have any adult cats?

And that was it :o

I think cats are also good at predicting schizophrenics and various assorted other "ailments"...when I was a kid, we had a cat named Sugar who absolutely hated my sister..(maybe because he was a male and she named him sugar, or maybe because she'd pitch him down 14 stairs everyday when she found him on her bed after school-we're not sure) but all I know is..one day that cat (who loved everyone else) ran up-bit my evil sister on the face and ran out the door and never came back..She is such a f*cking piece of work right now that perhaps the cat was warning us..hehehee

So your story is just proving the little bastards know who won't take to the programming and 'mark' them?

Not too surprising. I've heard of studies for years suggesting as much. Toxoplasma can be a big problem. As far a causing schizophrenia? I'm not convinced. Family history, drug use, etc., can be big factors as well. Being born in the winter is also a risk factor. It's a debilitating illness for most, with 1% of the population (that's 2,700,000 Americans and 60,000,000+ worldwide) affected. Toxoplasma and other bugs may contribute some, but there are many, many other factors at work.

I've been reading some interesting things about the evolutionary roots of language and psychosis. Schizophrenia may be the price humans pay for having language.

Or perhaps the cat was just the vector for the disease. The bite could have made her the nut she is today.

Here is another possibility - the cat already knew it was dying and in order to transfer it's essence over to a viable host it had to bite them?

You can find a doctor to say anything.

She's not a nut-she's a bitch..a huge one..there's a difference...
she makes everyone else nuts, causes fights in the family, makes sister-in-law's feel like sh*t with her constant stream of negative comments about their hair, clothes, cooking, children, homes..Plus she's married to this guy who is totally creepy and lives to wear hawaiian print shirts and white pants (all year long), who calls everyone pal, buddy, or sparky...he's a total headcase..and she bullies him around and he takes it..She's just messed up..
:mad2:
Some days we want to just put her in a burlap bag and drop her in the river. I wish I was twelve again-so I could beat the crap out of her and not get thrown in jail.

So they are suggesting language causes schizophrenia? Thats interesting, I'd love to read some of those papers.
