You've all seen them in the MLM/referral forum. I'm curious to find out how these things work. I think I've also seen similar things called congas. Does it actually work? If so, how does it work and exactly how much trouble do I have to go through to actually get something?
Darn I was getting ready to ban some spammer here. :P
edit : Wow...that was a quick response....I knew you GAMS are pretty darn omnipresent around the forums, but I didn't know you spend THAT much time staring at us!! ;)

I got one.

Nowadays it is a pain in the ass to get them.
Why?
Because it's been around for a while so most people you will try to get to do a referral for you have already signed up and them completing another one is against the terms of service and will get your account put on hold.
I'd say go for it if you have between 5-8 friends (a few extra there incase something doesn't go right) that have never signed up for this before, are not directly related to you, don't live in your dorm, apartment complex, or house, and are willing to give it a try.
You may have to bribe them.... I ended up spending roughly a hundred dollars over the course of about a year to get mine complete.

Been out of the country for the past 4 years. :P
Probly, so it took upto a year and $100 to fulfill all your offers? THat's not really worth it, is it?
If I have a bunch of good friends who will do the offers for me, they don't get anything out of it right? Don't each of them need just as many more friends to get their own?

Nope it's not really worth it, but since I had already spent ~75 dollars and got four referrals in the first couple months I decided to not give up until I got that fifth and final referral completed.
I would only suggest doing it if you have people that you know will definitely do it for you. I have had bad luck with conga lines and only mediocre luck dealing with online people that I've never met (including two I found from our MLM forum here).
