Oh, it's here already. It started snowing a bit on Monday but it wasn't quite cold enough...then the true cold front came Monday night into Tuesday and then last night and throughout today it's been snowing.

I know, I went up to check in late Novemeber one year, I went to Michigan. It wasn't even cold.

I am not kidding. I went for Thanksgiving a few years ago. It was in the high 50's to low 70's every day I was there, mostly in the high 60's.

There is no snow.

See, I like snow well enough...but just to visit. Not to live in.

When I was in the Army I did two years in VA and two years in Germany. That was four winters too many.

At first I was all, "Oooo, pretty!" And I was all into shoveling etc (like all them damn kids white washing Huck Finn's fence!). But after a month of it, I was all done. Done I tell you.

oh i'm not in love with the weather here, but i was in Florida around Christmastime once and it just seemed strange seeing houses decorated for Christmas and there was no snow.
