Artificial...I am too paranoid of it catching fire and the clean up is much easier without pine needles everywhere.

Should have made a poll.
We're doing artificial. Less mess to clean up.

I don't like loose tree needles in my carpets..... :D

real. takes me back to my childhood of tromping around in the woods to cut down the perfect tree.
plus, i've never found a fake one at a reasonable price that looks and feels real enough to satisfy.

I have always used fake trees and I think they are great I have friends who use real and I just don't like the care and maintenece associated with them, the watering the cleaning up the needles so the kids don't eat them or get hurt on them. I also like to be able to put my tree up on Thanksgiving day and not have to worry about it dying before christmas. I like to also leave my lights on all the time so that it is always pretty to look at.

Sadly a pre-lit artificial tree. Soooo allergic to the real trees.
I used to get sick at Christmas every year, until my allergist told me to get rid of the "mold spore" I bring in each year after thanksgiving. He told me that I wasn't reacting to the needles on my fresh cut Christmas tree, it's the mold spores that are on all fresh trees. After I switched to artificial, I haven't had a Christmas cold/sinus problem.

Artificial. We got a pretty good deal post-Christmas on a nice one a few years back. It's held up well.
Don't need the hassle of the real deal, and I have a mischevious three year old to boot. ;)

what?!?! you guys don't have palm trees for a christmas tree??
Neither. Neither of us likes fake trees or having to deal with disposing of a tree after the holidays. We have a wall display instead.

None here. The cats would rip it apart. We're going to my parents house for Christmas and they will have an artificial tree. When I was a kid, it was always real, but now that they are older, it's always artificial.

We're always out of town for Christmas, so we've never decorated much before. This year I enjoyed decorating for Halloween so much that I'm considering getting a small real tree. How long 'til they dry out?

"Charlie Brown Pathetic Tree" - what's pathetic is their price for the sprig: $24.00!!!

None for me thanks. 2 cats and 5 indoor dogs makes a tree a really bad idea.

No tree for me. But if I did get one it would probably be fake. However, I would get a few boughs from a real tree for the scent.

Four of them. Fresh Cut on Saturday. Frasier Firs. 10-11 footers depending on the room they go in. :) (I've waited for this all year!)

Always artificial. Not because I'm eco-conscious or anything, but because I'm cheap! We've been using the same $79 tree for 15 years.
We do have over 700 trees on our property, of which over 100 are evergreens. One of these years, I want to put lights on one of the big ones. Maybe this year.

We will probably be going with an artificial tree this year since we're traveling to my parent's house this year for Christmas and we don't want to leave a giant fire hazard alone in our house for a week.
