Blah blah blah...confused. From what I remember Cingular bought AT&T Wireless and became Cingular. SBC bought AT&T local and long distance phone service. Now or soon Cingular will be called AT&T Wireless and SBC will rename itself to AT&T.
All that Cingular marketing seemed to be wasteful to me but I guess back then AT&T wasn't doing so hot and now the use of AT&T seems more marketable for SBC just in brand recognition.
Man it's going to be confusing for those folks who were with AT&T before the merger and haven't changed their plan and want to upgrade to the new AT&T if they offer different plans than what Cingular offers.
