Free DSL

Etrade is giving away free dsl if you open a Power account. I just saw a commercial on T.V. Here is a link I found on their website.

Here's the low down from their site:

"You'll automatically qualify for Power E*TRADE if you place more than 30 trades per quarter at E*TRADE—you don't need to apply for membership. Place more than 75 trades per quarter and you're automatically eligible for Platinum-level benefits."

I do about 15 a quarter, I guess it's time to step it up!!

if you are doing it just to get the dsl, NOPE. it would cost you fees of at least $450/mo. but of course if you normally trade that much anyways, then it's worth it.

It would be so cool to get their platinum account since I trade about 400 tickets per month (compare to the guy sit next to me, I am nothing, because he trades about 150~300 tickets a day!!). Pity! Etrade does not directly route your order to market and too slow for me (since I am using LEVEL II and ECN INCA ARCA ISLD NTRD ATTN REDI BTRD SOES and preference directly send order to market or Market Maker)I can earn $62.5 in 4 seconds(1000 shares lot at 1/16 spread). Orderwise, Etrade would be a pretty good brokerage firm to lose your money to me!!
