Which cpu is better? I am guessing the second one due to being 90nm and 512k.

$189 - athlon 64 3500 939pin
$200 - athlon 64 3500 90nm 939pin
$200 - athlon 64 3500 512k 90nm rev e

Thanks!

Definitely go with the 90nm Venice Core. Is there any way you can bump it up another $30 or so and go with the San Diego Core? The San Diego core has double the L2 Cache (1MB) versus the Venice Core (512KB).

Here's the newegg link:

umm, unless I'm mistaken, the 90nm 939pin (#2 on your list) is the same as #3 on your list. The only difference being the revisions.
Rev E is the way to go in this list of cpus, AMD added a new multiplier for the memory controller, which.. when fully supported by bios/motherboards, is supposed to handle DDR500 memory speeds. (however, to my knowledge, this is still not fully supported)
Also, RevE 939 chipsets also include SSE3 support... which isnt that exciting for the average user...

( oh yeah.. correct me if I'm wrong: all 939 pin cpu's are 90nm? )
But yeah, go with san diego if you can spare the extra cash, otherwise go with the rev e.

I think the reference was to the second item in your original list.
