Also, for those that are interested in 80min blanks, its only $1 more for 50. (I think the price actually dropped, as I paid 28.95 for 100 the other day). The 8x 80min blanks are BLUE, with a very unobtrusive silver top (similar to those lovely Verbatim blues about 1.5yrs ago).
I've been buring 20+ cds a day lately since I am backing up my entire audio CD collection. I have a tendancy to treat my cds poorly, and they get scratched. So figured I should make copies before they are unplayable. The only bad burns have been from buffer under-runs that were the result of a source CD that was scratched to death. Can't speak about long-term durability as I've only been using them a few weeks. Ther verbatims blues were notorious for having the silver top layer peel off. I hope these don't suffer the same fate.

Yup, they have 12x as well, just do a search for "kingston 50 12x", should come up with the following matches.
84344 CD-R 12x 80MIN 700MB 200 Pieces - Four 50 Piece Spindles Kingston H (CD-R Media) OVERNIGHT $67.95
84343 CD-R 12x 80MIN 700MB 100 Pieces - Two 50 Piece Spindles Kingston H (CD-R Media) OVERNIGHT $34.95
84220 CD-R 12X 80MIN 700MB 50 Spindle Pack Kingston H (CD-R Media) OVERNIGHT $16.95
63715 CD-R 12X 80MIN 700MB 50 Spindle Pack with Free Atlantic CD Holder (Violet) Kingston H (CD-R Media) OVERNIGHT $19.95
Interesting that they say "free" atlantic cd holder, yet those cost $3 more than those without the holder. Doesn't seem free to me.

Nowaday, it seems outpost.com is the best place to buy CD media.

As I mentioned before, I have been using them quite a bit recently and I have just gone through about 125 of them so far. All audio burns, and they seem to be fine. I am using the 80min blanks, as well. Keep in mind while some user may experience little difficulty with a particular media, others may have great success. Some time ago people told me memorex sucked. I went through 100 of them with 0 problems. The only coasters I have made were the result of buffer underruns because the source cd in some cases is severely scratched.
The recorder I am using is the panasonic 7502B (scsi 4x), which has been flawless for me. We also have a tower at work with 4 drives utilizing these drives (actually I think they are the 7503B 8x cousin), and they have been working fine as well.
For $14, it certainly doesnt hurt to try. It's painful to see media this cheap when the cheapest places were about $7 when I got my first drive years ago.

9/9/00? According to my calendar, thats a Saturday. Most mail order companies do not ship on saturdays or sundays, so that means your order wouldnt have shipped until today and you would receive it tomorrow. This item has been in heavy demand on their site and stock is changing on a daily basis, as well.
