I have been put in charge of planning the office party, and can't find any games that aren't lame. Anyone have any suggestions for me? There will be no alcohol at this party. :(

These are some we've done in the past:

w/gifts: you call out a person's name they pick a gift, you call another name and they can either choose a new gift OR take someone else's gift, the gift can only be taken away twice after that the last person to call it keeps it. (i liked this one because i took away $100 amex check from one of the guys and nobody could take it after that 'cause i was the last one)

have them "name the song''

pick out phrases/saying that other employees use often and have people match them to the employee

** btw, we were all drunk while we played these so they were fun darnit!!

ahhh the politically incorrect Chinese auction!..yes those are always fun..
the last christmas party I went to had "level" contests-where you worked your way up to a big prize..it started out at our tables of ten..one person at the table was handed a sheet of paper with a list of actors/actresses names on one side, and the list of christmas movies or the name of the character they appeared as in the christmas movie on the other side..the table mates would all work together to match the names with the characters or movies....only one table would advance to the next level...which was broken down into groups of two-who would have to "fill in the blanks" and be able to recite the entire phrase out loud when their turn came..such as..words to christmas songs, or poems..or lines from christmas movies..(such as "It's a wonderful life", White Christmas etc..) for example: In the movie, IT'S a wonderful life, George bailey puts WHAT in his pocket when he goes to see his sick child?" the answer to be recited outloud by both would be ZUZU'S PETALS!...and they would then get "tagged" for the next level..naturally most of the questions were hard, so you really had to know your Christmas trivia..but it was fun..the next level was only for 4 people (teams were elliminated on that round)..and you had to do a speed round of NAME THAT TUNE ( christmas music only)..it wasn't that they only gave one or two notes-they'd play a part of the song and you only had a certain amount of time to name the song and who sang it (and hopefully you were correct)..one was eliminated on that level after so many minutes and so many right answers at the end of the allotted time-leaving only 3 standing..who were given "holiday Cash"...(old monopoly money that had christmas stickers on it..they had to "pay" for their Christmas questions and if they got the answers wrong-they didn't get to keep their money..if they got the questions right, they kept the money and carried on..each "level" of christmas question was worth a certain amount..the one with the most money left after 15 minutes won the prize, which happened to be a DVD/VCR combo (and I won it..hehehehe) it was fun, and took up about one hour..and as people got eliminated, they carried on with their snacking, chatting, and watching to see who won and cheered people on...

they also had a "mint stacking" contest..to see how many starlight mints one could stack on top of each other before it toppled..mind you..they never said to not lick the mints before stacking them, so one smart guy got about 50 before they found out his secret!

You could play "hide the pickle". I played that at an office party one time. Very enjoyable!

This really isn't XMAS related, but you could always do the "2-true, 1-false" game.

Everyone writes down 2 true facts about themselves that they don't think anyone else knows and also a made up, false one, writtten down in random order, and puts their name on the sheet.

You then read off each persons sheet and folks try to guess the incorrect fact about the person. The person then lets the group know which one is false and whoever guesses it gets a point.

Winner gets a prize. Kind of a cool game because it lets you learn more about people that you may not have known.
