iTunes question (Music-store related)

Well now that I have an iPod, I want to download stuff from the iTunes music store. Problem is, I don't have a credit card.

I know that there are gift cards you can buy that have a certain amount of credit available that can be used at the ITMS site, but the problem is, it appears I need a credit card to actually set up an account.

Is there any workaround?

just need a mac id that you can make there. Then when you get the gift card you can login with your mac id and put in the code.
