So i'm supposed to have some furniture delivered between 12-4 today. I get a call around 8:30 asking me if 1-5 would work. Being the nice guy that I am, I say no problem. It's now 10 minutes after 4. If these clowns don't show up by 5 i'm gonna flip out! I hate having to take time off of work to wait around for people who may or may not show up when they're supposed to! :shifty:

Well thats what happens when you go from Escondido to Temecula.

Your location did say Esco before right? I know I am not going crazy.

Nope, just a moment of hazy reality made it in. I worked in Temecula for a while and absolutely hated it. I have to wonder why you would willingly move there? Yes the houses were somewhat cheaper, but its such a schlep everywhere.

Like you said, cheaper housing. I work in San Marcos so no biggie. 1/2hr drive and virtually no traffic. I have no complaints.

By the way..it's 5:05 and nothing yet.

I would call the company and see what the hell was going on.

Had a similar thing with UPS once. Tracking said delivery was scheduled for a particular day, so I took off work to be home. I kept logging in, finallly around 6:00PM the UPS site was updated saying Attempted Delivery at 5:53, receiver not in. I called up CS and they would not acknowledge that the driver never showed up.
ME: Why does your site say attempted delivery? The driver never showed up!
CS: Oh, he showed up--it says so on the computer. You probably didn't hear him knocking.
ME: I live in a single story apartment of 600 square feet. I can hear people on the stairs.
CS: I'll make a note for him to knock louder next time.
ME: No, he NEVER showed up. Wouldn't there be a delivery notice on my door?
CS: I'll make a note to remind him to leave a notice next time.
ME: :banghead:

I sat home yesterday waiting on fed-x to deliver a new computer to me. at just after midnight I checked their tracking site and said it was delivered at about 11 pm. ya, thats right at 1 hour before midnight. so i said i better look on my front deck. no computer. I'm freaking out-a brand new rig and its no wear to be found. i said this is BS, i better call then (fed-x ) and the girl states it was delivered. now I'm smoking mad. i say can you call the driver and see where he placed it? she replies i can send a wire to the drivers office and they call you tomorrow. well here it is tomorrow and I'm haven't got a phone call. check the site for tracking which says the computer is on a truck today for delivery to me. I'm hot-very hot. figured driver got slammed yesterday and didn't make all his stops. but their office should of called me today in the am.

side note: when i didn't see the package last night after speaking to the woman i did grab my flashlight and check the porch's of my neighbors. felt weird at 12:30 - 1am looking around at peoples home even if you know them. and here all the homes are 50 to 150 apart and sit back off the road the same or more.

its 12:30 pm now and still no computer. thanks fedx i'm sure you get more of my shipments...NOT!

yeh, cause your time isn't important. :P

i've always wanted to hand a doctor that kept me waiting an hour a bill. i realize there are unforeseen circumstances, but... scheduling 10 patients at 1:00 ain't one of 'em. :|

That's why you gotta schedule the earliest appointment you can. Because patient delays snowball throughout the day.
