If any members are familiar with Tampa, can you let me know. I have several questions I need answered and hopefully you can do it for me. In all my years living in Florida, I have only been to Tampa 4 or 5 times. Twice to USF and the rest of the times to various areas.

I'm not familiar with it. It's just that when I read the title of the thread, I thought it said, "Anyone familiar with Tampax?"

I could have sworn several members were living in Tampa right now. I honestly need some advice from someone who is familar with the city as I dont want to have to use a resource that hasnt lived there for 7 years.
If you are familiar with the town let me know. Its not like I am going to request that you do anything for me or that I stay with you. I am trying to find out some information that is EXTREMELY important to me.
And yes, I already know all about Mons. Its nowhere near what Mons once was and I have partied my arse off in Ibor, know all about Guavalene, and yes there was a back room. :) My friends used to have to bring changes of clothes whenever they went down that way. :disa:

Oh no there is a lot more to the Tampa strip scene than that silly bus. That one road, Delnabry (sp?) is like heaven. Only in a city with that many clubs could one even imagine the strip bus.

Hmm. I ended up contacting the convention center. It seems that their lot hold about 400 cars, then there is another lot for 1500 cars, and then probably about 500+ spots on the street. To make it even more fun, apparently all the city lots only take cash and if you dont have cash issue you a $30 ticket! Hell I would try to back up, repark, head to an ATM and then go out...although that would only work if you dont have anyone behind you.
He seemed to feel that with 1 exception most of the "close" hotels were all 4 blocks away but all pretty expensive. Now I need to decide whether its worth the extra money to stay at the hotel where my reduced rate per night is equal to most of my entire stay at another hotel where I would need to drive in. Fun, fun, fun.

Oh man, we used to live 2 houses from the Boca Ciega bay, and there was a vacant lot on the waterfront that was a place people would go and cast lines into the bay. My brother (who was/is a real fisherman) and I (not much of a fisherman) were there, and we saw some big swirls in the water. I cast out beyond and started reeling my lure. A nice-sized snook came completely out of the water vertically when he hit it. I reacted a little too much and pulled it out of its mouth. :bawl:
I think the "keeper" size of snook has gone up since then. They are good eatin'. :lick:
