Last night, I went to do a price match to a store I was ordering from only to find that their CSR's were out. They were having free shipping ending at midnight, so I went ahead and placed the order online figuring I would call into them this morning to get my price match.

I call back this mornging and they tell me that they cant pricematch it after the purchase. Huh? Never heard of that, but they point me to their website where sure enough it does say that...as well as saying they will take into account other companies tax and shipping on items! WTF!

She offers to cancel my order and replace it with the price match. I ask what will happen with my free shipping and she says that it isnt offered any more so I wont get it. The shipping would be $8! I was pricematching 4 items for a total of $4 off. Which actually amounts to more than 10% of the order.

So my choice was do the price match and pay $4 more or eat the $4 and pay nothing. I chose the later, but honestly that seems quite dishonest. I am not sure I am going to give this company any more business. It was my 2nd order from them and the frist one came in slightly damaged...but they immediately fixed it.

You did point out to them that their CSRs were out when you attempted to get them to price match?
Cancel the order and buy from the other store. Tell them that you feel they are not honoring their price match policy by not having the CSRs available.

Trust me, I pointed out the fact. The woman's response was...it was 1am on the east coast when you placed your order. The fact that they claim to have 24hr ordering and the free shipping ending at Midnight (local time) didnt make her budge.

The problem here is she is willing to do the pricematch, but says it can only be done by cancelling the order with the free shipping. It was the free shipping AND the fact that they would price match to their lower competitors which made me go ahead with this order. Especially since it was some things that I wanted but didnt need.

I am debating about calling back to speak wtih a different CSR to see if they will do anything for me. I guess I shouldnt be too miffed as I had placed a previous order with them on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. On thanksgiving day they sent out their free shipping promo. My stuff had not arrived yet and from what I could tell hadnt left the warehouse, so I called and asked for them to give me the free shipping. Which they did after a short arguement and my threatening to just cancel and replace my order.

Sounds like this company is more trouble to deal with than they are worth. I'd cancel the order and go with someone easier to work with.

Seriously dude how much of you time and aggravation are you going to spend for four measly dollars? A good deal is nice but not at the cost of your relaxed state of being.

I let it go...I was just bitching about the fact that it happened at all. Most likely I wont be ordering from them again. My neighbor who placed an order with them the other day as well....he is having issues too. I normally order for 2 or 3 other sites, but enough people have recommended this one that I was willing to try it.
