X-Men is one of the few comic "non flops". A proven winner. Just like Spiderman. Well...the first two were good. But Brian Singer isn't directing this time...he's too busy with Superman Returns.

I too...hope it will be good. I just fear that they will at one point begin to to like a lot of other continuous sequel trequel quadruquel movies and just start cramming more and more characters in until we have a cameo of 80+ characters in one movie.

I mean like...first movies was:

surprizingly I love the X-men movies and so do the kids. I can't wait for it to come out on DVD so I can see it.

I have really enjoyed the X-Men movies the most out of any of the comic book adapatations to date (followed closely by Spider-Man and Blade).

Even with Brian Singer removed from the helm, I expect X-Men 3 to be just as good as the previous films

Gambit doesn't get accepted into Xavier's school until much later in the comic books. They could probably incorporate the story line into the 3rd movie, but then you would be leaving out huge chunks of character development especially with Storm and Prof. X

High expectations, new director, and a lot of "new" characters. Risky, which is generally a good thing, but could turn out badly.

In X2 when Mystique is hacking through Deathstrike's computer...a list of mutants is brought up. One of them is Remy LeBeau.

They made that scene easy to read because you were supposed to see her selecting Erik Magnus Lenisherr (sp?) fromt he list. It's when you pause it...that you get all the other names.

(Going over a few things that were already said...)

-I'm worried Singer's not directing it. Singer directed the first two and is now gone. We can all remember a similar situation with another comic based movie...Batman. Tim Burton did the first two which were great...and the rest (Schumaker?) - well...:puke:

-They add some good characters and leave out many that would be better. (I'm still scratching my head as to why Toad was in the 1st one, although he turned out being a lot cooler than I thought he'd be.) I'm looking for Sentinels, Omega Red, Apocalypse, & Mister Sinister especially (although granted you can't have all those villains coexisting in one movie with the greatest villain and character ever, Magneto). Angel is good but how about introducing Apocalypse and transforming Angel into Archangel...? etc.

The only thing I'm afraid of with an X-Men movie is the omission of characters...but again, it's hard to put all those characters in one movie and not have people get confused or lost in the story (not to mention actually having everything make sense in the storyline and be cohesive).

Looks really good so far...I just hope it turns out as good as the first two. (And I hope, assuming that it does well...they have another sequel planned after this one. Obviously - don't overdo it, but...with all the character/story possibilities - they could come out with 6 X-Men movies and still only scratch the surface.

I have alot of faith in them... X-Men is just one of those comics that stands on it's own merits and so far they have done it justice.
