I've always thought this was a good paint job. At least, it sure gets your attention! :heh:

Ok, so I'm a dummy. Until JUST NOW, I didn't realize it was the same truck, same road, same wall, etc. So same damn picture just photochopped. But still. Damn good photochopping. lol

Damn good photochopping. lol They are all photochopped...but snopes did research on it and found that they did end up using some of these designs for a "advertisement awards show" or something after the artists won a competition for the best designs.

heh . . . was going to say, I certainly haven't seen any of those on the road here in Germany . . . the phone number on the 2nd photo is a Frankfurt number (069) . . . and Pringles is made by my client . . . I would be SHOCKED if they actually had a truck that looked like that (they are WAAYYYY too conservative out here to do something like that!)

Edit: By the way, it's fairly common out here for ad vendors to hold contests for advertising designs and award free campaigns based on the design as a result. One of the brands I work on won a $1MM one month out-of-home campaign a couple years ago based on something similar . . . don't have photos, though.

Did you see my post above where the pringles design actually won and was featured at the awards show?

Yeah, sorry . . . should say that Pringles (P&G) would never actually commission a truck like that. Creative agencies and individuals often enter work for award recognition without the expectation that it would actually be used by the client.

While trucks featuring the design were shown at the show, I doubt they were ever actually used by P&G to deliver Pringles product.

Very true. I could understand that.
