What is the difference between sheep and lamb?

and Why don't Muslims eat pork?

it was in a dinner conversation today, but I don't think my friend knows what he is talking about

1. sheeps older and lamb's the baby
2. cause muhamid (like i know how to spell it) drank pigs milk when he was stuck in the desert

yea yea, i know he's an idiot
but what the hell, he paid for the dinner tonight:kaching:

He's right about a lamb being a baby sheep. a sheep being an adult lamb. I have no idea about the other.

i'm pretty sure that the muslim pork thing is the fact that islam builds on top of judaism & christianity (but didn't consider jesus God, just a prophet).
so, being founded on those religions, they subscribe to jewish purity laws, and don't take into consideration the whole freedom to eat whatever you want as a christian.

Baby cow that was raised a certain way and fed a particular diet. I'll spare you the details.

Pigs are unclean animals that dwell in their own filth........or in reality, because unproperly prepared pork can lead to trichinosis. Many of the old food laws, were to protect the health of the people or the animals.

For example, Kashrut (Kosher) law states that you should never have milk and meat together. The reason was that no animals should be taken from their mother while still on the teat. Thus by saying no milk with meat, it was to protect that baby at least until it was weaned as it would be hard to get the milk when the baby was drinking it all.
