I have played a few times, but I don't go regularly. And half of the time I forget to wear gloves and I worry about my hands getting hit the entire time :)

i was REALLY into it...until i got my marker stolen...and had to save $$ for a wedding.

now, it's been so long since i've gone out, it almost feels foreign to me. i feel bad for my friend, who was my paintballing buddy. he even bought himself greg hastings max'd for the xbox...haha. good game, by the way.

anyhoo, since i doubt i'll ever start up again, i'm thinking of selling all my equipment. well, i'll have to think about that...

burzhui plays too. he's got some nice equipment as well.

i'd say the nicest "overall" marker would have to be the smart parts ION. relatively cheap, can be modded to hell, and it's fast. if you can spare the ~$250, it's definitely worth it.

i play.. or used to, spent a lot on equipment too. Tippys are nice however the game changed with the release of Ion's which is essentially the cheapest reliable electro marker out there. When i was on the field with my anything but stock automag shooting my 8 shots per second on a semi-auto rig, all these kids would rain on me with 15 shots per second essentially covering me with paint because they don't even have to aim. Which kind of killed the game for me

I still have the bruises on my hands and shoulders from my last outing this weekend.

I have found a huge benefit to wearing knee pads and elbow pads. Much easier to get cover to cover quickly. I kinda wondered why the marines SF :woo: wear them. Now I know.

I've never played, but I look forward to doing so in the near future if possible. A couple of friends and I have even thought about airsoft matches (not with the single shot, low fps ones from wal-mart, but with the gas-operated powerful ones that simulate real weight and actions of real guns, like the Glock 18.) With a proper mask and such, it should be relatively safe and much more realistic for gunfight training. :)

It used to be about skill...

...but now everybody including little kids are showing up with $1000 guns and unloading 2000 shots a game. Thats why I stopped playing, b/c it was no more fun destroying them =P

(what a horrible lie)

Played a bunch of times through the years. Last time was a friends bachelor party where these damn kids with a freaking SNIPER rifle were hitting us from g-d knows where.

I used to love playing...but its not something I can do anymore. :(

I haven't been out on the field in about a year. I have a few guns, but they're definitely ancient now even with their many enhancements like rifled, extended barrels, expansion chambers, remote gas lines and lightened triggers. I could go out and buy a new or new-to-me gun, but it's something I do rarely and I can't justify outlaying that kind of cash. I have had to work on the weekends most of this year, adding to the lack of free-time to hit the field. I have tried to organize G|A outings before, but usually it's just Nija and a couple others that show up as part of a larger group. I'd love to go again if anyone wants to organize it, and I'll come out with my extremely modified Tippman 68 Carbine or my slightly less-modified Pro-Lite. I even have a PGP pistol for close encounters. :)

Okay so I went this weekend. I offically hate ions. Every little mofo has one and is shooting 17+bps and it's no fun. I need to find a place to play woodsball.

yeah I was at tombstone. Y'know they're going out of buisness? This weekend is going to be the last. I heard Jungle Island is going out of buisness too. All that will be left is SC. :(

Tombstone is going out of business? Damn. I remember whewn that place started and they were the only place with real trenches. That field was a bitch the first few times I played it until I figured it out somewhat. I used to play at Fields of Fury, a field up in the Santa Clarita area off the 14 (NOT THAT SLEEZY PAINTBALL USA) that had soem real good heavy brush/woodland type fields. The best part was the price - $10/day with their patch and you could use your own paint. They had very good refs too - the guy who ran it lost half his fields due to losing part of his lease. What he had left was kinda crappy and I stopped going there. Now it seems I just go to SC with groups.

sc is way too crowded though... i mean last time i went there... it was basically 45 vs 45... just chaos... i usually play speedball... but lately i've been going to hollywood sports... but the only problem there is that you have to use house paint.. and all their paints suck...

I'd love a 45 v 45 game. Everytime I play at SC it's always closer to 100 v 100.

I went one year on a holiday Monday (Memorial Day?) and every game was 200 v 200. It was insane. Every game took 45 minutes.

I've been at SC on those kinds of days too - 100 v 100 and 200 v 200 kind of games are completely nuts. Especially when those fields are only an acre or two in size. So much paint would be flying between sides you couldn't help but hit someone.

I love the way my heavily modified Tippman 68 Carbine sounds. 'click'

The damn electric hopper feed-motor is louder than the gun itself.

Okay, bought my a5 w/ the response trigger. All I need now is the flatline and an expansion chamber (or maybe the palmer regulator my buddy is going to sell me for 50) and the 400 rd. hopper, maybe a couple of other odds and ends (gas thru stock etc)

I love my a5. It can go toe to toe with Ions while still being mechanical. :D

The tippmann C3 pump gun looks really interesting.
