Hi there,
I am fairly new to this field and was curious to know:
Are there any external hard drives that you can simply connect to your computer, push one button, and have it store everything you currently have on your computer hard drive to the external hard drive? If so, does the Fantom 200GB External USB drive have this feature from the front page?
Thanks!

What do you mean by "push one button?" Do you simply mean "very easily" or do you literally mean "without using the keyboard at all?" I don't know about the latter, but if you're just wondering if they're easy to use, they are. If it's a USB drive, you just plug it in to your USB port and the comp will automatically recognize it as one of your drives. Then you just copy all your files to it like you would to any other folder/drive.

Is it possible to create an image of your hard drive onto the external hard drive? If so, does the software provided offer that functionality or would I need third-party software to accomplish this?
Thanks in advance!

Sure you can. Make sure your PC can boot from a USB HD or other USB device though. If it will not, how're you gonna restore the image?

Are Fantom external USB 2.0 drives any good?
The boxes look fairly cheap which is giving me bad feelings about it.

Yes - one button solution:
Maxtor OneTouch (http://www.maxtor.com/portal/site/Maxtor/menuitem.6adb6b8313633595062e6be791346068/?channelpath=/en_us/Products/External%20Storage/OneTouch%20II%20Family)
Works great - lots of the remote people in my company use them to back up their laptops.
