I need everyone to reflect on their holiday shopping experience over the years. After Christmas, are the sales good? What type of items are on sale at that time? Are they just cleaning out the leftover crap that no one wanted to buy? Post the details.

Christmas items are 50% off, so I usually stock up on any decorations that I need, like lights or fake wreaths. It's usually decent, but crowded, and if you want longer then a week only junk is leftover.

I stock up on wrapping paper, gift bags, etc. I always try to find plain red and green paper that I can use for Valentines and birthdays. I also try to pick up holiday themed tee shirts for my grandkids. Luckily i am able to gauge what size they will wear the following year. I will also be looking for Baby's first Christmas clothing for the baby due in April. I have one granddaughter with a birthday in february, so I can usually get good buys on clothes and toys for her. If you stick with the better stores, Kohl's for instance, the merchandise is usually in good shape. I usually go aroung 11:00 the day after. All the kamakazee shoppers are done by then but there is still good buys to be had. :woohoo: :woohoo:

in retail, and especially in the clothing industry, everything has a season.
in fashion, there are roughly 7 seasons,...give and take depending on who, but after that season is done, EVERTHING goes on sale.
new stuff comes, old stuff gets marked down.
so its not current. Thats why its on sale. NOBODY, will have current on sale, and it will NEVER happen.
so sale is usually left over junk that didnt sell when it should have during its current season. however, some people dont really care for each individual season, so its a great deal for them.
its your call
