Ok, so some of you have read my SS post about UPS. (For those that haven't, they show 3 packages delivered on Monday (2 from Staples, 1 from another store) and I have only actually received 1 of the Staples ones and nothing else.
ANYWAY, I ordered a toy from Walmart.com for Josh for Christmas and it shipped the other day. I look at the tracking info just now for it and it says this:

LATE TRAILER. GROUND MOVEMENT CAUSED THIS DELIVERY DELAY
wtf. ground movement? was there an earthquake in Kansas I haven't heard about? :heh: Just struck me as funny.

hmm, yeah, sounds like maybe they meant "the trucks moving packages by ground are all delayed" and abbreviated it waaaay too much.
i hate ups with a passion. three states, at least 8 different cities, they ALWAYS piss me off. they LOVE to claim they did stuff when they didn't. i remember the packages they'd hand to neighbors i didn't even know... the times a driver would come up, my package NOT in hand (even though it was on his danged truck!) to leave a "we tried to leave your package but you weren't home" sticker on the door WHEN I WAS RIGHT THERE AT HOME EAGERLY AWAITING THE PACKAGE (ohhh, was i pissed when i caught the guy doing that... i made him turn around and come right back with it. tryin to get home early like that will backfire, @$$hole!)... all the lost packages... yeah, i loved the one where they lost an entire rocking horse and claimed they had delivered it. i was like, uhhh... i woulda noticed that. no, i didn't misplace it. you did. yeah, if he had delivered it, why are there no footprints in the snow on my porch? then the cs rep asks me what the package looked like... i'm like uhhh... i dunno, since i never got it. probly looked about like a rocking horse. in a box. i'd guess brown. :banghead:

Its sad, UPS used to actually care about the customers. So did Fed-Ex. Now at least Fed-Ex does still do a somewhat good job.
My UPS guy rocks! Even if my packages have my home address he brings them to me at work so they don't get damaged. I need to do something nice for him for the holidays.

I go for a 45 minute walk every day in the afternoon. If I have a package both our local FEDEX driver and UPS driver will look for me out walking before leaving the area.

Unless Fed-ex has improved in the last year, I think there CS is not so good.
I have only had 1 bad experience with UPS and that was 6 years ago. I guess i've lucked out with UPS and the delivery guys who serviced my area.
Fedex on the other hand has always been a nightmare for me. Especially when my package ends up at their local hub and I have to deal with the idiots there.
