I personally think it's pretty useless. I think a better use of technology for mirrors are warmers behind the mirror that prevents it from fogging up after a hot shower. I saw them in every hotel in Japan and thought it was cool.

I don't like the idea of things popping up automatically when smoke is detected. You're asking for some moron to put something on top of it and then have it spill like a candle or a bowl or something. Other than that I like the other gadgets.
