John Spencer, who played Leo McGarry on NBC's 'The West Wing,' died of a heart attack Friday, his publicist said. He was 58.

noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! He was one of my favorite characters!!!

So how do you think this will play out? Who does everyone like for the next pres? I am for Jimmy and if allan alda wins I think I will stop watching it. What are other opinions.

I love Alan Alda but think the plan is for the younger guy to win. IF Smits were to win I think they would just recast Spensers part.They may even do that right away depending on how many episodes are already in the can. I loved Spenser in Presummed Innocent and LA Law. RIP
