I cannot for the life of me get totally into the Christmas spirit. Why you ask??? Because it is freakin 80 degrees outside. I need sunscreen to go for a walk. I am all for warm weather but its Christmas for cr*p sake. They are showing surfers in the water on the news. Even though the air is hot the water is cold. Brrrrr... Of course that's the only thing in the San Diego area
that is cold. It wouldn't surprise me to hear that stores are running their air instead of heaters. I guess I shouldn't complain but it is my duty as an estrogen card carrier to bit*h. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE

Would you like to swap? :)
Here in St. Louis, it's like 28 degrees...that's the high for today, mind you. :heh:

It's supposed to be mid-40s the rest of the week though (through Christmas), which is more tolerable.

Here in the OC it's nice. But I find it strange that I can still wear shorts and not be cold in Dec. But I'm not complaining. I like So Cal's weather.

16 degrees here with about 6 inches of snow on the ground. No snow in the forecast before Christmas, but we won't get much warmer than maybe 25 degrees, so what we have will stick around.

I can't wait to be back home in AC weather. I hate this 20 degree weather. Shorts for me this Friday. I might just strip down to my Nike shorts when I walk off the plane.

Just be comfortable without a heavy jacket, but it does get chilly.

I read 72 degrees on my Google Desktop for home. That sounds like shorts weather to me.

Anything above 70 and shorts for me, but in CO its cold. We are supposed to get in the mid 50's for Christmas, and I can't wait. I would like the shine but not the prices that go with it.

18 degrees here...blustery and 5 inches on the ground with more expected for Christmas. Just in time for SANTA and the Befana!
Buon Natale.

If you want to go somewhere to get into the Christmas spirit, go to Europe. Germany would be my choice. Bavaria or the Black Forest. Nuremberg. Rotenburg. I was in London and flew down to Munich on Christmas Eve to visit my brother and the plane was coming in to land shortly after the sun went down. It was snowing and you could see the glow of the houses down below, smoke rising from chimneys, the glow of headlights on the road, Christmas lights. It was a beautiful sight! It is weird to be among palm trees in 60+ degree weather and trying to get into the mood. It just doesn't seem right. Too artificial.

You just described a large portion of California, and its inhabitants, Californians. =]

I love the snow. I don't think I could live somewhere that doesn't get snow, esp. around Christmastime.

I would MUCH rather have cold weather than hot. Give me 30 degrees over 90 degrees any day - even when I'm outside running. I can't stand it when it gets too hot.

:agree:

I'm the same way...I love cold weather and I hate hot weather. The only problem is...nowadays (ie 'now that I'm getting 'older'') the cold weather causes me a lot of joint/muscle pain (for some reason). But I still prefer it. :thumb:
