Did you get it from a pet store?? I would think if you did you would be able to get some kid of refund. :bawl:

It was 2 years old. Somebody was moving so they wanted to find it a new home.

That is major suckage. Even in four short days, a special pet can wrap their little paws around your heart.

dude, that really sucks. Chinchillas are hella cute too. Hope you feel better man.

I know how you feel I lost a cute little rat one day after I got it. It just got depressed being away from her family. :(

aren't chinchillas tricky to care for? they don't survive long in temps above 70 degrees and stuff like that.

That's what I think may have killed it... I think the cause of death was the stress of moving and the warm environment. I would religiously keep a bowl of ice in the cage to keep her cool. She would nibble on the ice cubes and sleep next to the bowl.
