Read this off from techbargains. Starting Monday, September 11th at 12:01 am PST thru Wednesday, September13th, at 11:59 pm PST, buy.com will be offering free shipping on all products less than 20 lbs., with a minimum of $50 per order.
And by combining it with those dollar off coupons out there, I think it is time to stack up some stuff I want for a long time.

I recently convinced myself to buy the Quantum 30Gb deal at Buy.com that I saw at another site because Labor Day came and no free shipping (Good thing I had problems). I calculated the total:
30Gb=$160.95
$30.00 Coupon=$130.95
7.25% Tax=$140.44
Shipping=$6.20
Total=$146.64
However, my total came out to be $149.27 when I tried to buy it. Apparently they add the shipping charges to my original total then tax it then take away the $30. But I'm only paying a $130.95 for an item but they are taxing me for $160.95. I even e-mailed buy.com but they weren't any help. I know it's only a couple of bucks but hey I'm trying to save money here! (Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, read the deal about buy.com free shipping and was reminded of this).

I never have to pay tax for BUY.COM. And I remember when I bought my IBM GXP75 from them, they charged me $139 total, and it arrives the following working day (I didn't expect it to come so I wasn't home. LOL) So far I still love their service.

I just followed a link for a $10 off $30 buy.com coupon, and it says that

"This offer is not valid with any other shipping, Coupon offer or promotion, including price matching."

So does this mean I can't combine them? :bawl:

Since they upgraded their system a while back they no longer allow more than one coupon in your shopping cart, only select item like Disney movies(for a limited time), some clearance items come with free shipping. Sorry...

I can't seem to find any valid $10 off 30 (or 50) out there! What happens?! All the the code I knew is all outta database. Do they get rid of it because of this free shipping thingy? Can anyone post any working $10 off coupon for me please? thanks.

P.S. Not those for new customer plz... thanks.

I believe they charge tax for California, don't know about anywhere else. They charge tax to me.
