So I was at a conference for work in Seattle about a month ago, and had roughly ~$450 bucks to kill over 5 days for food/etc.
rough breakdown:
M,T,W,T,F Breakfast: free @ hotel
M,T,W,T,F Lunch: 3.99 @ McDonalds
M,T,W,T,F Dinner: ~5.99 somewhere

the rest:
..BEER..

so I stumbled (literally as well) across this beer called Mack & Jacks (sp?)

It was unbelievable, expensive too.. about 8 bucks a glass.

But I cant for the life of me find the damn beer anywhere in the midwest.

Anyone have connections or know of a place I could find this?

Here's a beer that is "rated" as "almost exactly like a" Mack & Jack.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This beer poured to a transparent tennessee burnt orange with a fuzzy off white head about 2 fingers deep...taste is almost exactly like a mack and jacks african amber for those who have tried it... http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/192/26542
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

According to the quick search I just did, Mack & Jack's Amber Ale is apparently a draft-only microbrew that is NOT bottled. It is available primarly in Seattle, and at a few other locations in the Pacific Northwest. You're not going to find it in the midwest. :cheers:

Just because he was "there"... doesn't mean that he is "here" (i.e. in our family/community)

anyways, i seem to recall a post this summer he made in a beer thread and said it was only on eSDee's insistence that he was here.

sounds to me like he isn't interested in being "here" anymore.
