Just got the 60GB iPod 5G, and now I find myself in need of a case.

Basically, I would like a case to give it a little extra padding in case of a fall, and to hold it on my arm and belt. I've already ordered the martin fields protector for scratches, so now I'm looking for a case. The DLO Action Jacket seemed pretty good, except that the arm band only held the ipod on with velcro. Didn't seem like it would hold too well.

Any suggestions?

if you go to the apple store there's these "rubber-like" cases that my girlfriend got for her 60 gigger...she choose this black one with a belt clip (not, once its in the case it won't fit in the dock, just fyi) that was ~$35

there's another company that makes a three-pack of "rubber-like" cases that i bought for my nano, but they also make a three-pack (comes in red/white/black) for the 60's...i *think* that will fit the dock and is also about ~$35 (but no belt clip)....

both come with a plastic screen protector thing-a-ma-jig....so that's what i'd recommend

I went all out with my new 60GB video and picked up a Vaja Ivolution case. They are very expensive, but they have the option of a metal riveted belt clip. Considering my 40GB photo bit the dust when it fell off of a faulty clip and into the water, it was worth it.

I don't think this would meet your armband requirement, though.
