Well, as I was leaving to goto my New Year's Eve party last night I notice my doors are unlocked and think....hmmm..that's odd. Then, I open the door and my stereo is gone :(. This is the 3rd time since I've been at college!

So sorry to hear it, New Year's Eve no less. Best to get one that pulls out.

Sounds like you can't afford NOT to have one... they do keep the moderately dishonest folks honest.

At least if you can't afford an alarm... go get yourself one of those "flashers" that can simulate having one as a deterrent. Better than nothing... (however I'd save up to get an alarm... they are worth it.)

Uh, no I really can't afford one man. I have no room in my budget as I approach my last semester in college. I don't have money for clothes or really going out so I'll have to tough it out without a stereo till at least graduation. Plus now I don't need an alarm without a stereo :heh:

Dayuum... is it that bad?

Aiight then... I hope they don't come back for the rest of the truck.

But seriously... when you get back on your feet (fully employed), consider getting yourself an alarm. :D

I got my stereo stolen from my car when I was in college too, and like Memo, I really couldn't afford a new one. I made it the rest of the way to graduation with a boom box on the passenger seat. It was a sad site to see, but it was reality.

On the bright side, adversity builds character.

Sorry to hear about that. Hopefully there won't be a fourth...

Three times. Wow, you really should have learned your lesson by now and not put anything in there that didn't have a detachable faceplate or something.

It was a sad site to see, but it was reality. For two weeks, I had a CD player connected to small PC speakers smushed into my headrest.

Start up a PayPal account, the "G/A Memo Alarm Fund". I'd chip in.

I lost my stereo to a theif on Lake Austin Blvd. at a drug store there... broken window and everything, it was a bummer.

Are they stealing your stuff at UT?
