Tonight I watched this bizzarrrrrrrrrrrre movie called PARTY MONSTER about Michael Alig who was one of the Original Club Kids from the New York scene in the 80's..I remember reading about him and his pals in the papers a long time ago-but I had never seen this movie..McCauley Culkin plays Alig and Seth Green plays his pal James St. James who went on to right a book called Disco Bloodbath which is about Alig, and how he was involved in a murder of a drug dealer named Angel.
If you want to see a truly f*cked up movie...then you HAVE GOT to see this..It's so wierd it's ALMOST FUNNY..in a disturbing kind of way.
You want to bitch slap McCaulkin, and Green, well-he actually pulls off the whole "club scene look" pretty well..seriously..has anyone else seen this?
ps..on further Googling, Alig is now in an Upstate New York Prison not too far from me and is due for release (if he makes parole) in 2006...this guy STILL has a following like you can't believe. People send him money, and tons of mail, and video tapes and books etc..like he is their long lost relative or something..scarrrrrrrrrry. .sad part is..he was actually a nice looking guy at one time..but now his jail picture looks like a creepy old perverted Jeffrey Dahmer type generic killer guy. (and yeh, the guy that he killed -and left in his bathtub for a week, was later dismembered by Alig and a friend, and tossed into a box and thrown in the Hudson river..GROSS)
